The Robert S. and Martha C. Radspinner Collection contains memorabilia scrapbooks, photograph albums, Virginia Tech newspapers, concert programs, and other ephemera related to VPI. The material documents Robert S. (class of 1941) and Martha C. (class of 1942) Radspinner's time at VPI and dates from 1937 to 1942.

The Harry Downing Temple, Jr., Papers contains materials related to Temple's personal life, interest in heraldry and insignia, and his research and publications on the Virginia Tech Corps of Cadets. Materials date from about 1872 to 2004.

A few of the items are undated. Thornton ran a dairy and ice operation in Stony Creek, Virginia, in addition to his job as an insurance company medical examiner.
