The collection contains personal memorabilia, consisting largely of honors and awards, of Samuel Davis Preston, a graduate of Virginia Tech (class of 1923) and member of the university's board of visitors (1952-1960).

Abstract Lawrence Priddy graduated with the Class of 1897. This collection includes photographs from Priddy's time as a student at the Virginia Agricultural and Mechanical College and Polytechnic Institute (VPI). The Werner J. Scholz Collection, 1911-1915, contains a VPI program, note, artificial flower, and portraits collected by Werner J. Scholz and related to Mrs. Patti Bramlet Hill. Werner Joseph Scholz attended the Virginia Polytechnic Institute and graduated with a degree in Applied Chemistry in 1913. Scholz died from pneumonia at his parents' home in Roanoke, Virginia, in June 1915. He was engaged to Patti Bramlet at the time of his death.
