Virginia Tech Intellectual Properties, Inc. (VTIP) was formed in 1985 as an affiliated company of Virginia Tech. VTIP manages the university's intellectual properties, including copyrights andpatents. The company also works with individuals at the university to manage their inventions and research products, particularly in technology development and innovation.
