Based on census records, E. M. Hudson is likely Elizabeth M. Yonce Hudson, born about 1830 in Virginia. She married William Hudson prior to 1850 and they had at least 10 children by 1880. No biographical information on other family members was found.

The collection consists of one letter from Fannie (Francis Ann?) Yonce to her mother Mrs. Alfred Yonce in Wytheville, Virginia and two letters from William B. Yonce (the first is addressed to Mrs. Yonce and the second is addressed to Fannie).
