Randolph, Lingan S., Sr., 1859-1922
Biographical Note
Lingan Strother Randolph (1859-1922) taught Mechanical Engineering at Virginia Agricultural and Mechanical College and Polytechnic Institute (now Virignia Tech) from 1893-1918. From 1913-1918, he served as the dean of the Engineering department. He helped design a number of buildings on the VPI campus, as well as for other institutions.
The 1914 Bugle is dedicated to Randolph and contains photos and a biography. Special Collections and University Archives have scanned and made available the 1914 Bugle online (pp. 4-8 of the Bugle and pp. 10-14 of the PDF version contain the dedication).
