Claibourne Walton Beattie, Jr. (1923-1978), was a student at Virginia Tech who graduated with the class of 1951, after serving in the U. S. Navy. He is buried in Westwood Memorial Gardens, Chilhowie, Smyth County, Virginia.

This collection contains Virginia Polytechnic Institute memorabilia from Claibourne Walton Beattie, Sr. (1896-1971), class of 1919, and his son Claibourne Walton Beattie, Jr. (1923-1978), class of 1951.
