Biographical Note

Over the course of his extensive career, Stanley A. Huffman, Jr. was a school teacher, administrator, professor, consultant, and producer of television programs for education with a particular emphasis on use of technology and media. He held degrees from Virginia Polytechnic Institute (now Virginia Tech) and the University of Virginia. From 1971 to 1987, he served as the director of the Learning Resources Center and from 1987 to 1991 he was the director of Distance Learning at Virginia Tech. Huffman died in 1993.
