Selective service records of Robert Eldred Taylor of Larned, Kansas, for his service during World War II. 1942—photo of Taylor, card that certifies Taylor is not fit for Aviation Cadet Training because of color blindness, identification card for the enlisted reserve corps. Copy of a letter, August 1945, from Taylor to the Pawnee County (Kansas) Selective Service Board, explaining that he enlisted in July 1942 in Wichita and upon finishing his flight training in February 1943 he was assigned on an inactive status to Pan American World Airways in Miami, Florida, to fly in the Latin American Division. Answer to his letter from a clerk at the Pawnee County Selective Service explaining t6hat Taylor might now be eligible for army duty. Other papers included that show that Taylor had to report to the board for possible duty. Includes an AF flight chart of Central America (1948).
