The John L. Hebron Letter contains information pertaining to the capture of a prisoner, July 4th celebrations, swimming in the river, and interacting with Rebel soldiers on pickett. John L. Hebron writes the letter to his mother, dated July 5, 1862 from Battle Creek Tennessee. The orginal envelope, a transcript of the letter, and regimental history is also included.
