Cassette tape: CAD for Principals - Ed Martinez
Scope and Contents
The bulk of materials in this sub-series are audio cassettes relating to Fallon's work on the "CAD for Principals" project. In 1999, Charles River Software (later Revit Technology Corporation) asked Fallon and her colleague Arleen Boyd to assist in gathering input from principals of design firms about the features and technical capabilities of CAD systems they wanted to see. Their work with Revit Technology on this project spanned roughly 3 years and culminated in the "CAD for Principals Software Evaluation Report" (see box 2, folder 10). The cassette tapes in question are original recordings of interviews and are labeled by interview subject. Those labeled "transcript" are anonymized and contain Fallon's dictated interview notes. Other mixed audio materials include recordings related to the "Collecting, Archiving, and Exhibiting Digital Design Data" study.
