The Marcus Peck letter was mailed from Camp Abercrombie on November 15-16, 1862, from Peck, a Private in the Union Army during the American Civil War, to his sister. Peck begins his letter describing the living quarters that he and a few other soldiers had built. He goes on to describe his daily activities, as well as what was happening around him while he was in Camp Abercrombie.
