Based on information on the Food Timeline, this is believed to be Lynne Olver's grandmother's school notebook/recipe book: https://www.foodtimeline.org/foodfaqa.html. The cover reads: "Laura R. Crystal 7B Domestic Science" and the notebook contains recipes, food preservation techniques, household management rules, and various clippings. There is also an ink drawing.

While the handwritten sections are not dated, newspaper clippings suggest this was created and/or kept in the mid 1910s.
