Scope and Content
This collection contains four letters written during 1864. The earliest letter was sent from Sarah Doak to an unknown person attempting to learn more information about her brother, who was wounded and later died during the Battle of Cold Harbor. The other three letters were sent to Sarah Doak from hospital staff and chaplains, responding to her letters. This collection also contains handwritten transcripts of the letters.
