Photographs of the Young Family, 1873 - 1975
Scope and Content
Folder one contains a journal/ledger written by George Thomas Baskerville, 1873-1877. Folder two is a collection of photographs and news clips of Dr. Robert Baskerville Young, Sr.. The photographs range from Robert's childhood, one with his childhood dog, to 1975, the latest photo being a dental school class of 1940 reunion. The newspaper clips are of his work with the Danville Cancer Association. Folder three includes photographs of Robert Baskerville Young, Jr. and news clips from his childhood. The photos include Robert's time playing baseball, highschool pictures, and photos from his military service. One news clip, from 1958, is about Robert's baseball team. An undated clipping is an article about a scouts trip to Colorado. Folder four has letters delivered to the parents of Robert Baskerville Young, Jr. during his time in service. The letter written on July 6, 1971, was sent to Robert's parents by Commander Ralph J. Maglione, inviting them to the graduation of the Undergraduate Pilot Training Class 72-01. The letter written by Robert, Jr. was sent in 1973, telling his parents of his recent travels and assignment updates. This folder includes news clippings of Robert, Jr. in uniform. Folder five contains Young family images that do not have indications of a certain family member, family members with one picture, and group pictures.
