"Hokie" Wooden Sculpture, 2001
Scope and Content
The sculpture is made up of maroon toned wood and tan toned wood pieces that form the HokieBird mascot with his arms crossed. His beak, eyes, and ends of tail are made of the tan wood while the rest is a maroon wood. White dots are painted on the eyes, and written in black between his toes is "TM." Wrapped around his neck is a black cord with a orange, tan and maroon HokieBird pin attached to it. On the back of the sculpture is a silver hanging strip nailed into it Below that is a label that reads ""Hokie" Made with Padouk Purple Heart Poplar, Basswood & Walnut By Bonnie K. Rowe 2001." The sculpture is in good condition.
