Silver, black, and red V.P.I. Cotillion Club Necklace, c.1930s
Scope and Content
The Jane F. Simmons V.P.I. Jewelry consists of a braclet and two necklaces.
The 7-inch silver bracelet has 4 filigree pieces linking 3 black stones, and the center stone has silver insignia on it. It is a dance favor from the 1933-1934 Junior Senior Prom.
One of the necklaces is a Cotillion Club dance favor. The necklace has a silver chain with an ornate triangle at the bottom that connects to a pendant. The pendant is silver with a black plastic rectangle and metal emblem of a shield with "Le Cotillon" underneath.
The other necklace has a silver chain attached to a pendant. The pendant is silver with a shield emblem that says "Le Cotillon" underneath and a red and black background.
