Mountain missionary ephemera, 1925-1932, n.d.
Scope and Content
The collection contains four pieces of ephemera relating to Kenneth G. Killinger's mission work near Marion, Virginia: a report of the Lutheran Synod of Virginia, two summer camp meeting programs, and a brochure urging donations. The report from 1925 by Killinger talks about his mountain mission work, as well as the needs for the mountain community in the upcoming year. The programs are from the first two Lutheran Summer Camp meetings "Under the Auspices of the Mountain Mission Association" at "Killinger Farm," held in 1931 and 1932. The brochure, undated, features two dialogues about the pending school year, as well as a call for aid to the mountain school.
