 File — Box: 1, Folder: 6

Scope and Content

From the Collection:

This collection consists of letters to and from Georgia Dunn Coggin, spanning from 1910 through 1960. The letters are primarily between Georgia and her husband William, and Georgia and her friend Lillie Goddard of New York City. The letters from William range between 1910 and 1921 and were written to Georgia by William while he was away on business for his position as Divisional Superintendent of Public Schools. Many of the letters between Lillie and Georgia concern Lillie's daughter, Eliza Goddard, who stayed intermittently with William and Georgia throughout her childhood, between 1925 and 1943. The content of all of the letters mainly concerns daily life, family matters, children, husbands, illnesses and deaths.
