The Thomas Creigh Letter is a one‐page missive written in 1858 from a Virginia assemblyman, representing Greenbrier County, to an unknown party concerning the state of Virginia's indebtedness. Creigh proceeds to specifically cite Virginia's floating debt at eight hundred and fifty thousand dollars. Also mentioned are the unnamed correspondent's subscription to the Richmond paper, the unseasonably mild winter, and Virginia's internal improvement.
