Correspondence, 1937
Scope and Content
The collection includes ephemera printed by Stone Printing & Manufacturing, as well as some business materials: correspondence, mailings, pamphlets, illustrations, and a file of mounted newspaper clippings. Dated materials range from 1897 to 1950, though most of the items are undated.
The pamphlets and publications include advertising materials and newsletters. The correspondence is between Mr. Edward L. Stone, Mr H. H. Harris, Mr. C.S. Mullen, Mr. B.F. Moomaw, and Mr. L. Franklin Moore, regarding maps of new roadways/shipping routes to and from Roanoke and throughout Virginia and its borders. The newspaper clippings are from the summer of 1930 and trace a visit to England by a delegation of the Virginia State Chamber of Commerce, which included Mr. Edward L. Stone of Roanoke.
