Henry D. Thoreau Letter
The collection consists of a letter written by Henry D. Thoreau to Mrs. Simon Brown on February 29, 1955, to discuss seeing her previously and remembering a previous visit.
John O. Thornhill Letter
The collection contains a letter from John O. Thornhill of the 2nd Virginia Cavalry, written apparently while on medical leave at Campbell, Virginia, during the American Civil War.
Earl A. Thornton Papers
The collection includes research files, personal notes, audio recordings, videocassettes, photographs, and publications collected by engineer and professor Earl A. Thornton on the fields of aviation, aeronautics, and aerospace.
Vaiden A. Thornton Collection
The collection contains account books, dairy building blueprints designed by Virginia Polytechnic Institute, and various work-related papers created between 1930 and 1953. A few of the items are undated. Thornton ran a dairy and ice operation in Stony Creek, Virginia, in addition to his job as an insurance company medical examiner.
William Logan Threlkeld Papers
This collection contains the papers of William Logan Threlkeld, professor of zoology and biology at Virginia Polytechnic Institute (1929-1958), including biographical materials, personal and professional correspondence, research files, and printed materials.
Thurman Family Letters
The collection includes American Civil War-era letters (all photocopies, with one exception) of the Thurman family of Chesterfield and Fluvanna counties, Virginia, including letters from Meredith Branch Thurman (14th Virginia Infantry) and Robert H. Thurman (41st Virginia Infantry) to Jane Rosser Humphrey Thurman, their wife and sister-in-law respectively.
Wayne Thurman Correspondence,
The collection consists of a Union soldier's letter, written by Corporal Wayne Thurman, Co. C, 42nd Indiana Vols., Calhoun, [Kentucky], dated December 26, 1861. The letter, written to Thurman's brother, Francis Marion Thurman, discusses camp happenings, including sickness, death, housing, and fights amongst the regiment.
James R. Tice Letters
This collection includes letters from James R. Tice, a Confederate soldier in Company B, 42nd Virginia Infantry during the American Civil War, to his sister (Martha A. Tice Light) and brother-in-law (Jim Light). The letters contain references mostly to family and personal matters but also mention the battles of Cross Keys and Port Republic, the death of Turner Ashby, the capture of Union provisions in Romney and the war-time prices of various goods.

This collection consists of financial receipts and records of the Tidewater/Virginia Railway Company in the early days of the railway system.
