Abstract

This collection contains office files from Cynda Ann Johnson, the founding dean of the Virginia Tech Carilion School of Medicine (VTCSOM). This collection includes office information, travel information, the School of Medicine's class information, reports and magazines, plaques, and personal papers, cards, and correspondence.

Abstract

The sculpture is made up of maroon toned wood and tan toned wood pieces that form the HokieBird mascot with his arms crossed. His beak, eyes, and ends of tail are made of the tan wood while the rest is a maroon wood. White dots are painted on the eyes, and written in black between his toes is "TM." Wrapped around his neck is a black cord with a orange, tan and maroon HokieBird pin attached to it.

Abstract The Virginia Agricultural and Mechanical College diploma printing plate is a gold/copper hued metal and is mounted on a wooden frame. At the top of the plate is the college's seal, followed by text in reverse in the middle, and two crossed rifles at the bottom of the plate. Surrounding the college's seal is text stating "Virgina Argricultural and Mechanical College." Abstract

The Virginia Tech Student Government Association was created in 1966-1967, combining the Civilian Student Body (established in 1930) and the Corps of Cadets student body governance. The collection contains minutes of the SGA and Civilian Student Body, administrative and event records, bills and resolutions, photo albums and clippings, and financial documents, which document the history and administration of the student organization.
