Maroon Corps of Cadet Sashes

Abstract This collection consists of two maroon sashes.One sash has satin edges with a cotton like fabric making up the body of the sash.The other sash is made of the same fabric but has adjustable snap buttons. On one end is 8 button snaps, and on the opposite end are only three button snaps. This allows for it to be buttoned based on size. Abstract

The "Be committed. Be well." Face Masks include two blue face masks with printed "Be committed." in orange on a white background and "Be well." in blue on a white background. The "Be committed. Be well." campaign conceived by the Town of Blacksburg and Virginia Tech, and it was taken over by the New River Valley Public Health Task Force, which formed in March 2020, to unite various different health campaigns in the NRV during the Covid-19 pandemic.

Abstract The hat is made of a black fabric with a small black leather bill. On the top of the hat is a structured circle, while the rest is unstructured. On both sides of the cap are two small black grommet holes. On the front of the hat above the bill there are two guns embroidered in gold thread with "V.P.I" above them. This hat belonged to Major Adam Tyree Finch, (VPI class of 1893 and Professor 1898-1900) when serving in the Virginia Volunteers. Decorations on the brim denotes his rank as a Major and the maroon band around the hat denotes Medical Unit.
