Biographical Information
George W. Cheatham was born about 1848 in Appomattox County, Virginia. Nannie P. Horsley, born about 1853, lived Nelson County, Virginia, until her marriage to Cheatham in 1873. They had two daughters: Elizabeth E. (b. abt. 1875) and Amanda H. (b. abt. 1879). The family had a farm in Appomattox County.

Abstract
The marriage license was completed in Appomattox, Virginia, and lists information about George and Nannie, including their ages at the time of the marriage, places of birth, and parents. In addition, the license notes the date of the wedding (October 13, 1873) and the name of the minister who conducted the ceremony.
