This collection contains two scrapbooks, both titled the National Memory and Fellowship Book, from the Fishburne Military School in Waynesboro, Virginia. One book was owned by Eugene Peyton Summerson Jr. and the other was owned by his brother, Beverly Dancy Summerson, both of whom attended the school in the late 1920s. The scrapbooks include photographs, assignments, programs, newspaper clippings, and notes. Both scrapbooks include several pages of information about the Summerson brothers' respective classmates, including their names, where they were from, their nicknames, birthdays, and their career ambitions. Throughout their respective scrapbooks, the Summersons also wrote about their favorite subjects in school, along with their favorite music, books, and poems. Another section includes information about entertainment, lectures, and plays that the Summersons attended during their time at school. The last several pages of the scrapbooks include photographs of Beverly Summerson and Eugene Summerson, Jr., respectively, along with their classmates, as well as newspaper clippings.

The first scrapbook, which once belonged to Eugene Peyton Summerson, Jr., included several loose newspaper clippings and graded assignments in the back of the book. These papers are now located in a separate folder in the order in which they were found.

The second scrapbook, which once belonged to Beverly Summerson, includes a loose document from the Principal of the Fishburne Military School declaring that Summerson had been promoted to Cadet Sergeant in 1928.
