Scope and Content
The collection contains a scrapbook with more than 100 photographs of Blacksburg, Virginia, and VPI activities. Photographs are dated between 1912 and 1916. Most are captioned. Many depict the Corps of Cadets and their campus activities, as well as the growth of the campus in the period. The scrapbook may have been compiled by Mary Katherine Cook Derring.

Abstract
The collection contains a single scrapbook of photographs of VPI and the area surrounding Blacksburg, Virginia, from about 1912 to 1916.
Arrangement
The collection is arranged chronologically. The photographs in the scrapbook were, for the most part, arranged chronologically by the creator, and the scrapbook has been left in its original order.
Source of Acquisition
The Virginia Tech Scrapbook was donated to Special Collections in 2009.
