Biographical Note
Jack Shelton Harris (1922-2014) was a graduate of John Marshall High School and Virginia Polytechnic Institute. He served in World War II and the Korean War and is the recipient of three Purple Heart Medals, two Silver Stars, the Bronze Star, and the Croix de Guerre. Harris married Shirley Jean Schumann (1924-2014) in October 1926. She was a graduate of Westhampton High School and Virginia Commonwealth University with a degree in education. Their children include Craig, Paul, Mark, and Cabell, and they primarily resided in Richmond, Virginia.

Jack Shelton Harris (1922-2014) graduated from Virginia Polytechnic Institute and earned numerous medals during his service in World War II and the Korean War. His wife Shirley Jean Schumann Harris (1924-2014) graduated from Virginia Commonwealth University.
