The Plunkett Family Papers are comprised of offical documents requesting and giving authorization for Lieutenant Colonel Hubbard Plunkett, his wife, and their two daughters to travel from Helmstedt, Germany, where Plunkett was stationed in the U.S. Army, to West Berlin from Decemeber 23, 1965 to January 7, 1966.

Biographical Note
Lieutenant Colonel Hubbard Plunkett (1921-1997) was a 1942 graduate of VPI and served in the military until his retirement in 1972. He was married to Frances Vivian Kash Plunkett (1921-1997) for 54 years and their children include Vivian Gay and Frances Lynn, all of whom attented Virginia Tech. They resided of Roanoke, Virginia.
