Arrangement

Rowlett H. Bruce was born on April 8th, 1892 in Chester, Virginia. He attended Virginia Polytechnic Institute as part of the Class of 1915 as a private in Company F, with a major in Horticulture. Bruce then went on to be promoted to Corporal in 1912, and sergeant in 1914, while having also played for the football team. In addition to his time at VPI, Bruce served as an artilleyman during World War I; holding the rank of lieutenant. On April 4th, 1986, Bruce passed away at the age of 94.
