The collection contains a letter written by Sallie L. Rucker on March 8, 1863, and was addressed to her Aunt Patsy and Uncle John. Biographical note
Sallie L. Rucker, full name Sarah L. Rucker, was born in Amherst County, Virginia, around 1830. Her parents were Tabatha and Willis Rucker.
