Manuscript Cookbook
Scope and Content
This is a book of hand-written recipes given to Doris by her mother, dated in April 1925. It contains an index covering categories such as: preserves, soups, breads, cakes, puddings, cheese dishes, desserts, and drinks. However, the bulk of the recipes are for baked goods and desserts.
In addition, the recipe book included a 1964 Randolph-Macon Alumnae Association luncheon menu with recipes for casseroles, risotto, and tossed salad. Individual recipes are attributed, likely to members of the association.
