Biographical Note
Issac Shelby Jr. (1832-1911) was a Captian and later Major as Chief Commissary of Subsistence, a member of General John Echols staff in the Department of Southwest Virginia and East Tennessee during the American Civil War. Shelby was the grandson of Issac Shelby who was the first Govenor of Kentucky.
