Included are three deeds, all for lands in Rockingham County: Martha Rice to David Rice (1857), Samuel & Elizabeth Funk to David S. Rice heirs (1882), and S. L. & J. E. B. Rice to G. W. & Mary Virginia Vanscoy (1894). The collection also includes three sheets, possibly removed from family Bibles, containing genealogical data on David and Tabitha Rice and their children.
