Scope and Content From the Collection: This collection contains a printed image of five soldiers gathered around, pouring and drinking buttermilk from a jar, possibly during or shortly after the American Civil War. The man in the center pours a jug while the others hold their cups of buttermilk. One man appears to drink from a very long straw. The image is copied from a tintype or ambrotype.
