This file contains photocopies of a series of approximately 35 sketches by Jimmie L. Price and Everett Graves based on accounts from local Montgomery County residents. The sketches are of coals mines, coal seams, mine tipples, and the associated buildings and housing for Shoal Creek Mine, Brush Mountain Coalfield Central Division, and Big Vein Mine.

This VHS videotape is an interview with Frank Bannister of Montgomery County, in which he describes the cattle drives from Tazewell to Kentland, life at Kentland, and the physical layout of the farm. Bannister's family were once slaves on Kentland, and later worked there as servants and laborers.
