Scope and Content From the Collection: This collection consists of three letters addressed to Lucy Dickinson, a student at Vassar College at the beginning of the 20th century. Two of the letters are from writer Edward Clary Root and relate to an unnamed manuscript written by Root (undoubtedly a draft of his 1906 novel, Hutington, Jr.: a Romance of Today) and critiqued by Dickinson.
