Despina Stratigakos Architectural Collection
The Despina Stratigakos Architectural Collection comprises her vita and published works including her dissertation and articles exploring the public image of women architects in Wilhelm, Germany (early 20th century), the contributions of women in re-building of Berlin, Germany, and exiled Jewish women architects in America. The collection also contains a 2011 Architect Barbie from Mattel and press releases concerning her creation.
Elise Sundt Architectural Collection
Elise Sundt (1928- ) was an architect in Vienna, Austria. She studied at the Technical University of Vienna, graduating with a diploma in Architecture in 1952. Sundt’s collection includes professional papers, publications, and documentation of exhibits from her professional career. Materials range in date from 1972-1988.
Maria von der Weppen Architectural Collection
Born in 1952 in Gdynia, Poland, Maria von der Weppen studied in Poland and Norway before beginning her career in Germany. She specialized in reconstructing buildings in East Germany damaged by the war as well as new residential and office construction. This collection consist of drawings, project records, photographs, and articles relating to von der Weppen's work.
Lillian C. Weaver Collection
The collection includes correspondence to and from Lillian C. Weaver. Letters are from family, friends and colleagues. There are also photographs, invitations, play and commencement programs, and a brochure for Ms. Weaver's School for Girls.
Hilde Weström Architectural Collection
This collection contains the paper of Hilde Weström who was born 1912 in Neisse, Upper Silesia, Germany. She was an architect of Berlin, Germany. The materials in the collection include biographical information, articles, photographs of Weström and her designs, and architectural drawings for nine projects (1954-1970).
Women Architects in Austria Exhibit Panels
The Women Architects in Austria Exhibit Panels contains twenty-eight panels from a traveling exhibit sponsored by the Austrian Cultural Institute. The panels show photographs and architectural drawings by Austrian women architects from 1900-1987. Subjects include interior design, urban and landscape planning, apartment buildings, and cultural centers.
