Abstract

Milka Bliznakov was a Bulgarian architect, architectural historian, and professor who practiced in Bulgaria, France, and the United States. The collection consists of her publications, research, correspondence, professional documentation of her practice, conference participation materials, teaching materials, and documents related to her involvement as the founder of the International Archive of Women in Architecture.

The Clinton H. Cowgill Collection contains selected personal and professional correspondence, writing, incomplete architectural drawings, and career documentation of the founder of Virginia Polytechnic Institute's architecture program, Clinton H. Cowgill (1890-1975).

Elarth, Virginia Tech professor of architecture, includes correspondence, subject files, class materials, photographs, printed materials, artwork, scrapbooks, and ephemera chronicling Elarth's personal life, teaching and military careers, private practice, and participation in various architectural organizations.

The Marcia Feuerstein Architectural Collection contains information about architecture school projects and teaching information from classes led at University of Pennsylvania and Temple University. Notes, sketches, correspondence, and photographs from professional design and renovation projects as well as competition entries are included. Also included are conference and lecture materials, copies of papers and publications, and photos of artwork.
