Henrie H. Alexander Letter
The collection consists of a letter written June 10,1862, from Alexander in Blacksburg, to Captain W. G. Price in Wytheville, Virginia, about a recent skirmish with the Union soldiers at Salt Sulphur Springs, Virginia (now West Virginia).

Letter from Major A.M. Allen to Major J.B. French, written from Columbus, Georgia December 16th, 1863. Letter written by Allen complains that his shipments of corn to Richmond are being slowed by want of transportation.
James B. Allen Letter
Letter written by James B. Allen to Mother, Nancy Allen in Hanover County, Virginia. Allen's letter, dated August 30, 1863 was written from Orange Court House, Virginia (modern day Orange, Virginia). Allen, a private in Company, I, 15th Virginia Infantry, relates how revivals have been increasing in his regiment and the camp.
