Records of the Division of Outreach and International Affairs, Sahel Regional Financial Management Project
This collection consists of the records of the Sahel Regional Financial Management Project that was organized to improve the financial management of Sahelian institutions that manage funds from the U.S. Agency for International Development. The collection includes correspondence, telefaxes, reports, evaluations, financial and legal records, and more. The countries involved were the United States, Senegal, Gambia, Chad, Burkina Fasa, Mali, and Niger.

Sanford Bernell Fenne Papers
The papers of Sanford Bernell "Chuck" Fenne, a graduate of Virginia Polytechnic Institute (BS, 1927; MS, 1930) and a Virginia Agricultural Extension plant pathologist from 1939 to 1967, includes correspondence, writings, biographical materials, photographs, a VPI scrapbook, and a photo album compiled during a year (1943-1944) spent working in Brazil for the Food Supply Division, Institute of Inter-American Affairs.

The collection consists of letters to Ralph M. Brown, librarian at Virginia Polytechnic Institute (VPI), from John P. Sawyer, who graduated from VPI in 1940.

Werner J. Scholz Collection
The Werner J. Scholz Collection, 1911-1915, contains a VPI program, note, artificial flower, and portraits collected by Werner J. Scholz and related to Mrs. Patti Bramlet Hill. Werner Joseph Scholz attended the Virginia Polytechnic Institute and graduated with a degree in Applied Chemistry in 1913. Scholz died from pneumonia at his parents' home in Roanoke, Virginia, in June 1915. He was engaged to Patti Bramlet at the time of his death.
Charles Sears Oral History Interview
Audiocassette tape contains an oral history interview with Virginia Tech Professor Charles Sears, conducted by John Straw, University Archivist. Sears discusses the history of the Virginia Tech Geology Department (today the Department of Geosciences), where he served as a professor and founded the Virginia Tech Seismological Observatory.
