In addition to the map, which identifies title claimants and contains some hand-written annotations, the map provides navigational and distance charts, descriptions of rail and water communication, improvements to the area, and geological descriptions, especially regarding coal deposits.

Daybook containing listings of names and dollar amounts for supplies sold from January 1936 to December 1940. Supplies sold appear to be related to coal mining and the daybook is believed to originate in Mingo County, West Virginia.
