This collection contains correspondence and military documents relating to the War of 1812, including materials before, during, and after the war, with a particular emphasis on activities in Virginia between 1806 and 1823.
Joseph F. Ware Collection
The collection contains 102 letters from Joseph F. Ware to his wife, Susie, in Blacksburg, Virginia, while he was serving overseas during and after World War I. The other significant portion of this collection contains nearly 200 photographs.

Warm Springs, Virginia, Ledgers,
The Warm Springs, Virginia, Ledgers collection includes 26 ledgers divided that account for the business of John E. Criser, J. S. Kelley, Blakey and Hamilton Co., and Yancey and Faulkner, as well as others in and around the town of Warm Springs. Ledgers date from 1884-1942, but the majority are from 1900-1920. The various companies appear to have done assorted business with each other as they appear sporadically in each other's ledgers.
Marcus B. Warner Collection,
This collection contains an 1864 Diary, transcript, and photocopied Muster Rolls and a card number list pertaining to Marcus B. Warner, of New York's 184th Volunteer Infantry, Company K. The diary details his civilian life as a harness maker and the first portion of his career as a Union soldier stationed in City Point and Petersburg, Virginia.

Evidence within the volumes suggests that they may have belonged to William G. Douglass, a late-19th century Fauquier County foundryman.
