This map is in 37 sheets, titled and numbered for ease of arrangement, with 1 (Winchester) being in the northwest and 34 (Norfolk) in the southeast. Three additional maps are labeled A-C (Richmond, Bermuda Hundred, and Petersburg), and they consist of a smaller-scale topography of the Richmond area.
