Abstract

Letters written by Maury to his Cousin Sarah, nicknamed Puss. Letters are written from Camps at Morton's Ford, Virginia (March 13th, 1864,) and Port Walthall Junction, Virginia, (October 1st, 1864 and November 10th, 1864). Letters relate war news such as Dahlgren's Raid, camp life, encounters with well known officers, duties, and frivolity.

Robinson, listing rank, age, eye and hair color, occupation, and other information about the men in the company. David Tobias Robinson was born October 8, 1845 and lived until June 16, 1925. The S. C. Robinson Letter is an autograph letter signed by S. C. Robinson, the creator of the Confederate "Sharps" carbines, to James Albright of Scranton, Pennsylvania, on Ocotber 24th, 1861. The letter contains information on Robinson's sentiment over the American Civil War, and an idea of Robinson's current situation at work in Richmond, Virginia.
