This collections contains materials from American Civil War reenactor Richter Ellison. A large number of these materials were used for reenactments or for research, likely to improve historical accuracy. The bulk of the papers were created between 1994 and 2003 (undated documents are likely from the same time).
George W. Emmons Letter
This collection contains a single letter, from hospital steward George W. Emmons (b. 1840) to Mrs. Louisa Traylor during the American Civil War. Emmons enlisted in Company C, 12th Virginia Infantry in 1861, and deserted in December 1864.
John Collins Enright Letters
This collection includes the transcribed war-time letters of John Collins Enright, first sergeant in the 18th Virginia Infantry, written from camps in northern and eastern Virginia, during the American Civil War.
