Abstract This collection consists of a May 10, 1864, letter written by Stephen F. Poindexter of the 10th Virginia Cavalry, Confederate Army, at Union Hall, Franklin County, Virginia. Written to his cousin W.H. Smith of the 2nd Missouri Infantry of the Confederate Army, Poindexter begs his cousin to reply to his letters, inquires after the health of Smith's uncle Jim, and informs Smith of the capture of Poindexter's brother by Union Army forces. The letter closes by directing any reply correspondence...
