The collection contains a survey of Samuel Kinzie's properties in Blacksburg and Christiansburg, Virginia, made in 1899 by C.S. Charlton.

This collection contains a scrapbook assembled by Frank C, Kitts, Jr., containing mementoes from his life during 1919-1936. He went to Tazewell High School in Tazewell County, Virginia, and was a mail carrier and member of the U.S. Guard Band. His scrapbook contains items such as letters, locks of hair, newspaper clippings, high school football and play tickets, calling cards, and poems.

Papers of Samuel Herbert Knick (1886-1914), of Rockbridge County, Virginia, relating to his time as a student at Virginia Agricultural and Mechanical College and Polytechnic Institute, including a student handbook and a letter and postcard addressed to Knick's brother, W. Hampton Knick.

This collection consists of a letter from Christopher Kraft in Connecticut to Elizabeth Plank in Blacksburg, Virginia. The envelope is stamped with the date of January 10, 1945. In the letter, Kraft reflects upon his time in Blacksburg and some of his thoughts of Connecticut.

The papers of Margaret S. Marston Lampe span the dates 1976-1989 and are comprised mostly of correspondence, final report drafts, briefing material, meeting minutes, and newspaper clippings. The collection is organized into the following series: National Commission on Excellence in Education, Elementary and Secondary Mathematics, National Institute of Education Laboratory, Governor's Commission on Excellence in Education, and Virginia Board of Education.

The collection consists of map of Montgomery County as it was in 1784. The acreage, divided into thirty-two tracts of one thousand acres each, is situated on the Guyandotte River, a tributary of the Ohio, in present day West Virginia.
