Abstract

This collection contains three items collected by Herbert Reed Pollard, a graduate of Virginia Polytechnic Institute, and related to the Virginia Polytechnic Institute Corps of Cadets, including a 1933 ROTC dinner program, a photograph of the 1934 officers of the Corps' Company E, and a photocopied newspaper clipping of the Corps marching in Norfolk, Virginia.

Abstract This collection consists of a V.P.I. belt buckle and a Christian symbol medallion. The belt buckle is a rectangular shape with horizontal stripes. In the center of the buckle is a circular logo with the V.P.I. seal. Surrounding the seal in curved text is "VIRGINIA POLYTECHNIC INSTITUTE" AND "UT PROSIM" right below the seal. Silver "VA TECH" Belt Buckles

Abstract

This collection consists of two Virginia Tech belt buckles. The larger buckle is a silver belt buckle that says "VA. TECH." The back is inscribed "The Pettibone Mfg. Co. Cin'ti.O." The smaller silver belt buckle says, in small caps, "VA TECH".

Abstract

Orange and maroon matchbook with "VA. TECH.", VPI seal, and Gobbler icon on the front cover, "TECH Win or Lose" on the top, image of Burruss Hall over the words "Administration Building V.P.I." on the back, and "Universal Match Corp., St. Louis" on the bottom. The inside has a drawing of Rexall drugstore above the words "Corner Drug Store, The Rexall Store, Phone 4321 ... Blacksburg, VA."

VPI Class Pin

Abstract

This VPI class pin is a shield painted half blue and half white with a bottom border of white beads and inscribed in gold "V.P.I. '03" (or possibly "V.P.I. '08"). The top border is a gold eagle holding two crossed swords.
