This collection contains four boxes of slide sets, some with related scripts, for the Virginia Cooperative Extension's Master Gardener Program. Most materials are undated, but likely date from between the 1970s and early 2000s. Topics include flowers, fruits, vegetables, trees, landscaping, gardening, composting, and careers in horticulture.

The collection contains United States Department of Agriculture, War Food Administration, and other national agency publications from the early 20th century to the present day.

The collection contains a promotional letter, a special offer flyer, a catalog of chemicals, and an order blank and addressed envelope from the Quality Chemical Company of Detroit, Michigan.

This collection contains a two-sheet, jumbo-sized letter 1914 advertisement for the Rayo Incubator Co., Inc., of Omaha, Nebraska, during "Hatching Time." The letter details the benefits of the Rayo Incubator, comparing it to other products. The company was established in Blair, Nebraska in 1908, moving to Omaha in 1912.

This collections contains publications and advertisements from companies related to restaurant equipment, food service, and industry dating from the 1920s-1950s. This include building materials, upholstery, and commercial appliances such as soda fountains.

The Alice Ross Ephemera Collection includes more than 2,000 pieces of ephemera related to food & culinary history, advertising/marketing, food production, agriculture, holidays and celebrations, and domestic culture, dating from the mid-19th to the mid/late 20th century.

This collection contains a household and farming ledger owned by a Shropshire, England family, dating 1832-1867. Two articles and a letter report the discovery of coal in Shropshire. The ledger also contains financial records, notes on wine making and farming, instructions for care of cattle and pest control, and various receipes and remedies.

This collection consists of a handwritten soda recipe book. Recipes include sundaes, punches, lemonades, egg cream drinks, and more.

The collection contains publications on topics including, but not limited to: war-time food use and victory gardens, home planning and organization, food and cooking, home demonstration, and household management. Although the emphasis in on Virginia state and local agencies, materials may also originate from around the United States.

The collection contains a handwritten copy of 1848 patent for a ventilating rocking butter churn.
