Abstract
This collection contains Doug Burton's papers and memorabilia from a Pratt-funded Virginia Tech engineering trip to the USSR and Finland taken in March 1979. It primarily consists of VT trip handouts, maps, a newspaper, Moscow Olympics souvenirs, some books, and a transcript of Doug Burton's diary.

The J. M. Butterworth Family Papers is a collection spanning from 1911-1963 that contains lab notebooks, a scrapbook or report on Japanese culture by Agnes Butterworth, correspondence, and more. Subjects include engineering, math topics, and World War I. Joseph Millard Butterworth (1893-1942) studied mechanical engineering at Virginia Polytechnic Institute (VPI) from 1911 to 1915, while his brother Alvin S.
